boys and eating

I always thought after we had the boys "How am I going to be able to feed 3 (including daddy) boys?"
I had heard parents talk about how much boys eat and I kept thinking how will I be able to do this. Roxanne has always had helpful hints and reassurance I will be able to do this. Well, the past few months I have figured it out. It is going to happen slowly. Slowly we have had to start making 2 cans of biscuits or cinnamon rolls. Slowly we have doubled things. Well, tonight we made 6 grilled cheese, 4 eggs in the middle of toast and 2 egg/grilled cheese sandwiches. A whole loaf of bread, half a dozen eggs and a package of cheese and they were still a little hungry. They finished up with push ups.
Lea you have any hints?

  1. WOW!! I can't believe it! I am fixin' to get a taste of this in about 3-4 years! YIPPEE!

  2. Just wait until Maude's appetite kicks in at about 12 or 13. I remember when I was slapping grilled cheese sandwiches on the griddle as fast as I could, and a friend's 12 or 13 yr old girl (who shall remain anon)ate 6 before I ever got enough done to feed my boys and the 2 dads. Dr. Milner, oops, still laughs about that. She could lay it away. Course the appetite was blamed on the water skiing they had just finished.

  3. too funny, she ate two grilled cheese that night. We ate with Virgie for her birthday Monday and I looked down and Maude had devoured her food. She looked up real sweet and said "I was hungry."
