Mema was moved out of ICU and into her own room yesterday. I checked Aidan out of school and we went up to see her. She is doing much better and the kids were so happy to see she is ok. Aidan started having stomach pains Sunday come to find out they were worry pains. He has such a tender heart. We tried to explain to Maude in 3 year old terms what happened to Mema. She listened and when we were through she asked "Did Dandy break her heart?" I was glad to see yesterday that she wasn't mad at Dandy and sat in his lap for a brownie.
Mema and I talked as much as you can with 3 kids in a hospital room. One of the first things she said was "I hope I didn't say anything mean or not nice." That is the true Mema, she never would even under meds.
Cody took off last night after Aidan's open house and spent some time with her. Friday night was the last time he had seen her. When we got home Friday he went back on call all weekend. Which I think God took care of him, he probably had the easiest weekend ever, other than Friday morning.

Thank you for all of the prayers and please continue to pray for her recovery.

  1. Glad to hear Mema is doing good!

  2. okay I have know from the very second we started praying for her to your first post this was a total miracle. This just brings it all home. This was on the front page of CNN today.

"Ritter died in 2003 at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank after becoming ill while working on his hit TV show "8 Simple Rules ... for Dating My Teenage Daughter." The 54-year-old actor was treated for a heart attack but actually died of a torn aorta."
